Village of Lawrence

An ordinance to designate an enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the Village of Lawrence located in Van Buren County, under the provisions of the Stille – DeRossett-Hale Single State Construction Code Act, 1972 PA 230, MCL 1 25.1 501 et seq.
The Village of Lawrence ordains:
Section I. AGENCY DESIGNATED. Pursuant to the provisions of the Michigan Residential, Building, Rehabilitation, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical Codes, in accordance with Section 8b(6) of 1972 PA 230, the Building, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical Code Officials of the Village of Lawrence are hereby designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the Village of Lawrence under 1972 PA 230, State of Michigan. All personnel performing plan reviews and inspections shall be registered in accordance with the Skilled Trades Regulation Act 407 of 2016. The Village of Lawrence assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act throughout itscorporate limits.
Section 2. REPEALS. All ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. PUBLICATION. This ordinance shall be effective after legal publication and in accordance with provision of the Act governing same.
