A Community Donations Event Hosted by LHS Student Council

In honor of Lucy Rose’s Light Project



What: The Lawrence Community Closet is a FREE event in which Lawrence community members can come to obtain gently used, clean clothing and other necessities donated by local families and individuals. Donations to the event may include shoes, toys, small household items, and men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing of various sizes.

Where: The Lawrence High School Cafeteria

When: Saturday, April 29, 2017 8 am to 12 noon


Donors: This is an opportunity to organize those closets at home and do something great for the Lawrence community! The LHS Student Council needs your help! We challenge you to go through your closets and find your gently used items that still have life in them that can be passed on to someone who could truly use them.

Bring your donations to the LHS main office April 10 to April 24th

Large household items such as furniture need prior arrangements for delivery to the school.

Lawrence Elementary School “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser

As a school-wide service project (pre-school through sixth grade), Lawrence Elementary School students are participating in a fundraiser, Pennies for Patients, for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Michigan. In photo above, a fifth grade student team is leading the initiative, including, from left: Back row – Allison Henderson, Austin George, and Gavin Schaeffer; front row – Ben McCaw, Cayley Hostetler, Noel Saldana, Christian Smith, Jeromie Johnson, Taylor Cease and Thalia Cease. Missing from photo is Ashley Reed. The money raised from the project will go to help patients and their families with blood cancers. The fundraiser began Nov. 28 and runs through Dec 16.
